Bookora Agent Guide

Get paid to put local shops online.

You introduce local beauty businesses — barbers, salons, nail bars, tattoo studios — to their free Bookora booking page. Every time one of your shops takes a booking, and every month they stay on Premium, you earn a share — automatically, for as long as they're on the platform. It's recurring income, not a one-off finder's fee. Read this once and you'll understand exactly how you get paid.

How you get paid — two income streams

Both are automatic. Commission lands in your agent balance the moment a shop you referred takes a paid booking or pays their monthly subscription. You never chase anyone for money.

The shop's planYou earn per bookingYou earn monthly
Free (£0/mo — most shops start here)10% of every booking
Premium (£19.99/mo — when they upgrade)2.5% of every booking£4.99/mo, recurring

Both streams keep paying for as long as the shop stays with Bookora and your account is in good standing. Cancelled/refunded bookings have their commission reversed — you only keep commission on money the shop actually kept. Cash out any time your balance is over £20, paid by bank transfer.

A quick example.

You sign up 20 shops. Ten of them go Premium. That's 10 × £4.99 = £49.90/month in subscription share alone — before a single booking. Add 2.5% of their bookings and 10% of the free shops' bookings on top. Keep signing up shops and it compounds every month. It's uncapped, and we don't promise a figure — your earnings track real bookings, so busy shops = more for you.

"So the shop pays £19.99 — where does it go?" (full honesty)

Agents sell better when they can answer this with a straight face. So here it is, no spin. When a shop upgrades to Premium at £19.99/month:

£4.99 → YOU
~£15 → Bookora (runs the platform)

Your £4.99 is a full quarter of what the shop pays — every month, forever. The other ~£15 is not profit sitting in someone's pocket. It's the real cost of running a platform that actually brings the shop customers:

Servers & hosting Running the website, booking engine and databases 24/7, fast and secure.
Card processing Stripe / bank fees on every single booking payment.
SMS & email Every booking confirmation and reminder text/email costs real money per message.
Customer support Helping shop owners and their customers when they need a hand.
Development Constantly building new features, the mobile app, and keeping everything working.
Marketing Driving customers to the shops so they get more bookings — which is how you earn.
Tax & VAT UK corporation tax, VAT, accounting and insurance — all paid before anything is left over.
Company overheads The admin, tools and people it takes to keep a real business running properly.
The honest bottom line: Bookora only makes money when the shop is busy and happy — because a busy shop stays subscribed and keeps paying. That means Bookora is spending that ~£15 to get the shop more customers and more bookings — which is exactly what grows your commission too. You, the shop, and Bookora all win from the same thing: the shop being full. That's why this is worth introducing with pride, not a hard sell.
