How does the 21-day free trial work?
Every new business account gets 21 days of full access from the day you register — no credit card required. During the trial you can test every feature with 0% commission. When the trial ends you'll stay on the Free plan automatically, or you can upgrade to Plus at any time.
What's included in Plus that's not in Free?
Plus drops your commission from 20% to 5%, gives you a free custom domain, SMS reminders, flash-deal campaigns, priority search placement, advanced analytics, unlimited staff, and — unique to Plus — 5% off when you personally book hotels, flights, activities or transfers through Bookora. Plus is designed to pay for itself once you do roughly £130 of bookings a month.
How does the 5% off on hotels / flights / activities work?
As a Plus subscriber, when you book any hotel, flight, activity or transfer through Bookora using the same business-owner account, you'll see 5% taken off the total at checkout automatically. The discount applies to your own bookings only — it isn't passed on to your customers.
What is the commission charged on?
Only on completed, paid appointments. If an appointment is cancelled or refunded, no commission is taken. The commission includes payment processing, automated reminders, the booking page, reviews, and analytics — there are no extra platform fees on top.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes — any time, both ways. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.
How does the free custom domain work?
On the Plus plan you can attach your own domain (e.g.
bookings.yourshop.co.uk) to your Bookora page — we pay the domain registration for the first year. You choose and claim your domain manually from the dashboard. After year one, renewal is at the standard registrar rate (typically £8–15/year depending on TLD).Are there hidden fees?
No. No setup fees, no cancellation fees, no per-user seats, no SMS surcharges on Plus. The only external cost is the standard card payment processing fee (1.5% + 20p for UK cards), which is already bundled into the commission.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
Your booking page stays live on the Free plan — you never lose your customers, reviews, or data. You continue to receive bookings at the Free-plan commission rate (20% per appointment).
