Types of Lash Extensions

Classic Lashes

One extension is applied to each natural lash. The result is natural-looking, similar to wearing mascara. Ideal for those new to lash extensions or with naturally full lashes.

Hybrid Lashes

A mix of classic (1:1) and volume (fan) techniques. The result is a textured, fuller look that sits between classic and volume. Very popular as a versatile everyday option.

Russian Volume / Volume Lashes

Multiple ultra-fine extensions are fanned out and applied to each natural lash. Creates a dramatic, full, and fluffy look. More volume = more extensions = longer application time.

Mega Volume

Even fuller than Russian Volume. Very dramatic and requires highly skilled application. Not suitable for thin or sparse natural lashes as the weight can cause lash damage if applied incorrectly.

How Long Do Lash Extensions Last?

Lash extensions shed with your natural lash cycle (every 6-8 weeks). Infills are typically needed every 2-3 weeks to replace shed extensions and maintain fullness. A full set takes 90-150 minutes; infills take 45-90 minutes.

What to Look for in a Lash Technician

• Proper training certificate (VTCT, City & Guilds, or accredited lash brand training)
• A clear portfolio of their work
• A patch test offered at least 24 hours before application (important if you've not had lashes before)
• Good reviews specifically mentioning retention (how long the lashes last)

Aftercare Tips

• Avoid getting lashes wet for 24 hours after application
• Clean lashes daily with a lash-safe cleanser (oil-free)
• Brush them daily with a clean spoolie
